Mitsu Sato Hair Academy will permanently cease operations as a postsecondary cosmetology school effective September 30, 2026.

Effective immediately, Mitsu Sato Hair Academy is no longer accepting applications or enrolling new students and has discontinued all student recruitment activities.

Information for Current Students

Currently enrolled students will be contacted directly regarding the closure of the Academy and provided information concerning their individual circumstances, including available teach-out or transfer options and any applicable tuition refund.

Student Records and Transcripts

Mitsu Sato Hair Academy is working with the appropriate regulatory authorities to ensure that student academic records and transcripts are preserved and remain available following the school's permanent closure.

Information regarding the process for requesting transcripts and other student records after the school's closure will be posted here once the permanent records custodian and request process have been finalized.

Students with questions concerning Kansas cosmetology training or licensure may contact the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.

Information regarding closed private postsecondary institutions and student records is also available from the Kansas Board of Regents.
